Marquee for an audio visual presentation in a hospitality marquee for a corporate events show.

A group of companies who work in the corporate hospitality sector, event furniture hire and audio visual equipment hire trades asked us to provide something modern and refreshing for them to host a hospitality marquee at a trade show for the events industry.

We had to come up with something a little different than the standard pleated ivory linings or starcloth which we knew would be a common theme for all the other exhibitors' marquees.

The Marquee Requirement

We needed to make the marquee stand out from the crowd of over one hundred other marquees and encourage delegates attending the show to come in and see what our clients have to offer. A great opportunity for networking.
We needed to provide modern and stylish seating areas for people to talk and discuss business in a relaxed and inviting environment.
There had to be a way of demonstrating the versatility and wide range of products available from our clients.
The marquee had to be warm and dry, despite potentially hundreds of visitors coming in from a field on a cold, wet October day.
We needed to offer refreshments and therefore catering facilities, casual seating area for reading promotional literature, generator power source, audio and visual equipment and coordinate lighting and furniture.

The Marquee Solution

Glass fronted marquee with solid walling and raised levelled flooring to offer warmth and comfort from whatever the weather was going to do. It was raining with a cold Easterly wind.
Black & white chequerboard flooring to catch the eye of passers-by, which led the eye to a shocking pink illuminated bar front serving fruit juices, coffe and bottled beers. Visually very powerful.
Chrome and leather modern seating to offer a combination of casual lobby seating and stylish cocktail bar style seating provided by Spaceworks Furniture Hire.
Digital projector and hidden sound system scrolling through company logos and promotional pictures to advertise the services on affer and give anyone taking refuge something interesting to look at, with soft but modern electric jazz and armchair techno music to cement a relaxed ambience within provided by Lighting With Intent

The event was a great success attracting not only several hundred industry professionals looking for innovations, but also the eye of the judges who awarded the First Prize to our team for Best Exhibition Stand in the 10m - 20m section. Our team also won Third Prize for Best Exhibition Stand & Interior Design of all exhibitors.
