Art Deco Style Wedding Marquee

Black roof drapes with ivory lining to create an 'art deco' style interior of the marquee for a wedding

The theme for this Wedding Reception marquee was black & white, with clean lines and an overall sleek style. The bride had very specific ideas and wanted to create something completely different in terms of the internal style.

The Marquees

The Dining Area :
The dining area was lined in flat white with a black flat scalloped valance and co-ordinating roof drapes. The floor was a plywood interlocking sub-floor with black carpet to cover. The tables were dressed with plain black tablecloths and a white top cloth in a metallic sheen. The chairs were black banqueting style with black seat pads. With the addition of the florists stunning centre pieces the whole look is reminiscent of the Art Deco period.

The lighting specification included up lights to the side walls and pin spots to each of the tables to highlight the centre pieces.

The Dance Area:
The ceiling and walls in the dance area were dressed in black velvet which complimented the illuminated bar unit. The client sourced their own silver dance floor which was both a novelty and in keeping with the theme. Lighting to this area included acrobat lights mounted on 6M Tri-Lite trusses and an illuminated mirror ball which was all enhanced with a smoke machine.

The overall effect created was very stylish and a little different to many of the weddings Inside Outside undertake throughout the year.
