Christmas is a magical time of year. According to a wedding proposal survey, it’s also the most romantic – apparently, 40% of proposals happen over the Christmas period (source: Chillisauce). Of 10,000 respondents, 31% said that Christmas Eve was the best time to pop the question and 18% said New Year’s Eve, with only Valentine’s Day (22%) separating them. Maybe it’s the mistletoe!
The biggest challenge for newly engaged couples has to be finding the perfect wedding venue. Many wedding venues struggle to accommodate parties bigger than 80-100, so there can be difficult and heated conversations of who should or shouldn’t be on the guest list. Awkward!
An easier solution is to hire a marquee!
It could be the perfect solution. If you’ve fallen in love with a particular wedding venue that is too small, you may be able to have a marquee set up in the grounds, giving you the best of both worlds. Or, you may be able to make a function room bigger by adding a marquee extension to create additional space. Of course, a wedding at home can be even more special than hiring a wedding venue, so why not consider a marquee in the garden for a totally unique event.
Marquees offer so much freedom and flexibility. They come in different shapes and sizes, so there is bound to be one to suit the size of your wedding party. And, whether you want a stylish and sophisticated wedding, prefer fun and funky or have your heart set on a vintage theme, a marquee provides a blank canvas on which to be creative.
