Busbridge Lakes is a beautiful Grade 2A heritage garden just outside Godalming and a mere stone’s throw from the A3. With a house that is attributed to Lutyens and 40 acres of landscaped grounds, including many magnificent specimen trees, Busbridge Lakes is today home to a plethora of water birds – from cranes to swans – and a truly unique venue for wedding receptions.
Imagine a grand marquee set out on the lawn, overlooking the lake and surrounded by the most enchanting views – for anyone planning a country-style wedding in Surrey, Busbridge Lakes has to be seen to be believed. Some 200 guests can be easily accommodated, so there is no need to limit your guest list. And there are numerous photo opportunities. Busbridge Lakes is known for its many follies, your wedding album could feature the gothic boathouse, doric temple or rustic stone bridge.
Good to know is the fact that the grounds are hired exclusively, which will make your wedding day so much more special – there’s no possibility of members of the public wandering into your reception. The owners are very happy for you and key members of your wedding party to visit to make all the necessary arrangements ahead of your big day.
